We broke the traveling part into two days because it takes 17 hrs. to get there! The kids were awesome in the car, leaving Phillip and I to listen to sermons together (a few anyway, when I wasn't playing stewardess). We stayed at a hotel, went swimming, ordered pizza, and the kids got to sleep with mommy and daddy and that was pretty special.
We so enjoyed driving through Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware. So different and so pretty.
We especially loved getting to see Josh and Julie and spending time with them at their beach house!! Right on the beach, and a great view from inside too. It was a treat. Phillip's parents came in a few days later and we were able to spend two days there with them as well. The weather was beautiful the first day and we went straight to the beach and before we knew it the girls were IN the water! Julie took ALL of these wonderful pictures, and there are many more. But here is a small peek at our adventurous week and special time with sweet family!

we went to a dairy farm where they make their own ice cream and sell it...too bad it didn't open until next week. We got to see lots of really big cows though

Canon didn't want to go near the water or walk around much, but was perfectly content to play with all the toys Aunt Julie had for them. Then afterwards he was quick to have me dust off his hands - he is definitely like his mama, this boy likes things clean :)
We got to go visit Josh's office and meet all his coworkers.

We went to eat for Julie's birthday and they sang and gave her ice cream, and then smashed it in her face!!?? She was a good sport and it was quite funny.

Sweet girls slept together almost every night in the same twin bed. I have a picture of them when they are about 6 months old sleeping in my grandparents bed, holding hands. I had to take a picture of this because they are in the same position as before! I"ll have to go dig that picture out...
On our last day we went to a place called Bonkersville, it was a big bounce house place. The kids LOVED it, and so did the adults...many of us were going in the bounce houses as well and being as crazy as we could :) Atley especially loved it and kept going and going.

I have a few more small posts about Delaware, and I'm sure Julie will be blogging some more pictures here soon. We are SO blessed to have family that we love so much and count as best friends! What sweet relationships the Lord has produced, and what encouraging time when we are all together. We love you Josh and Julie, and we miss you here in STL, but we know your time is in Delaware right now and we are just SO happy that we got to see your life there. What a blessed life it is. Love you and thank you for letting us come!
