Estes Park, Colorado

We were blessed to be able to go with Phillip to Colorado this past week. He was taking a group of about 50 high school and middle school kids, and about 10 adults to Estes Park, Colorado. We rode the "big bus" with all our kids and all the ZOE kids. It was great actually and the kids slept in "beds" on the floor all through the night. We watched lots of movies and ate lots of snacks during the daytime hours on the bus. Once in Colorado we of course couldn't do the intense activities the ZOE students were doing (mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, extreme hiking) but there was plenty to do just by being outside in the beautiful mountain air! My friend Kelli went with her boys, and my other friend Leah came with her boys as well. It was such a blessing to have my friends there! We threw rocks, played in the dirt, played in the trees, climbed the side of a snow covered mountain, went to 2 different playgrounds, rode a "buggy" bike around the lake while daddy kayaked, played kickball, rode on a school bus many times, played with lots of ZOE kids and made a lot of friends, played with mommies best friend from college's kids (it was SO fun to have Lauren come out for the day!!!), played air hockey and pingpong and ate ice cream at 9pm....just some of the fun and crazy things we did while we were there. While nothing with 4 young children is easy, it was worth it and it was our first (of many!) ZOE trips to be a part of. Thank you Phillip for letting us go! I'm so glad our children are able to experience these adventures and also see their daddy in action:)
